You can create an An Artsy Octopus along with Ms. Maria, or watch her and then do it on your own afterwards.  Here's what you'll need:

• 1 piece of cardstock or thick paper - standard size
• a pencil
• squirt school glue (not glue stick) - will need about half a small bottle 
• 1 - 2  Q-tips/cotton swabs
• 3 - 5 colors of watercolor paints and and a small bowl of water -- OR -- 3-5 colors of food coloring, in small bowls, slightly diluted with water
• 1 or more small clean paintbrushes OR eyedroppers OR pipettes
• about 1 cup of salt poured into a small bowl
• a spoon
• paper towels
